Angoli Estesi explores how corners, as important pivot points in cities, could reactivate open spaces and create urban parks. An addition to an abandoned site north to Palazzo Quirinale, it aims to increase the use of public spaces in Rome and change current conditions of the city based on a respect to its history.
Navigating Rome
This is an encounter with corners. As definite points in the city, corners mark transitioning points where decisions need to be made. They fabricate primary and secondary facades together and direct experience.
ANGOLI ESTESI
Carried on from the corner research and situated northwest to Palazzo Quirinale and east to the Trevi Fountain, this urban landscape discusses the relationship between the stage and the spectacle through layers of platforms and arches - classical roman typologies. ANGOLI ESTESI tries to renovate and reactive a cornered space in Rome while respecting to the city’s history and existing landscape.
